Quality work reduces cost, improves schedule, and, in doing so, satisfies our customers. We believe in achieving this quality by making solid decisions based on facts, identifying issues before they occur, promptly fixing problems should they materialize, and inspiring  every person on a project to “do it right the first time.”

People based quality

Home Evolutions’s People-Based Quality (PBQ) program focuses on human behaviors that drive “right the first time” quality. We call them Quality Absolutes. Our Quality Absolutes provide the clear direction for what is expected from all Home Evolutions employees across our entire business, in all functions, and at every level of our organization. Implementing our Quality Absolutes program improves our performance and drives our culture around quality.

Building a better world

Home Evolutions employees are active volunteers in the company’s office and project communities, often working side-by-side with customers, contractors, local organizations, and government entities.

Many of our Stewardship, or corporate social responsibility, activities are done in collaboration with our Signature Program partners: DiscoverE, FIRST®, Engineers Without Borders, and JA Worldwide (Junior Achievement).

Globally, Home Evolutions employees participate in Stewardship activities that include mentoring students, specifically girls, to learn about the engineering profession by designing robots; building bridges and water supply systems in remote areas of the world, and even playing classroom games that explore engineering principles.

Stewardship at Home Evolutions is a way for our employees to give back by supporting education and improving the quality of life through engineering and construction. Each year we build a brighter future for more than 100.000 children, adolescents, and adults around the world.

We complement the volunteerism of our people with contributions from Home Evolutions Group Foundation, which invests more than US$3 million annually in our Signature Program partners and in responding to disasters in office and project locations.

We believe that every incident is preventable

Home Evolutions continues to be an industry leader in safety. We are relentless in our approach to prevent each and every accident, as we believe that every incident, thus every occupational injury, is preventable.

On the job

Every one of our colleagues—as well as our partners and subcontractors—has stop-work authority. If it’s not safe, we don’t do it. We reinforce this philosophy through a combination of technical field procedures, ongoing training, and a Life Critical Requirements Program that highlights activities that could be life-threatening when not executed according to published procedures.

Public safety

Public safety is a critical part of our environmental, safety, and health programs, and we work with all appropriate stakeholders to improve industry and national standards. On many projects, we prepare and implement traffic safety management plans specific to the work site and to the local roads over which equipment and materials flow to support construction.
